Camera Shots Story (Blog#3) PRELIMINARY

 Story in five shots

Shot #1

The shot used for this image is a long shot. This type of camera shot allows the watcher to depict the character in their surrounding. Showcasing the character is outside near a tennis court, walking around in a school setting due the uniform being worn by the main character. For the story, it allows the watcher to understand where the story is taking place and what the character is doing.

Shot #2

The shot used for this picture is a Point of view shot (POV). This type of angles give the audience a front row view at what the character is seeing, really diving the viewer into the characters perspective. Regarding development to the story this shot provides the viewer with a clear image of the main problem of the story from the characters eyes, the shoes is untied.

 Shot #3

The angle used for this photograph is an over the shoulder shot. The angle displays the main character looking for someone near. For the story being told, this type of angle lets the perceiver become aware of another character entering the short.

 Shot #4

The camera shot used for this visual is a two shot. A two shot allows the observer to get a better understanding of how the two characters interact with each other, how comfortable they are with one another, and the type of  relationship. For the sake of the story being told this type of shot reveals to the viewer that the two characters shown have playful friendship. Shown by the male character smiling and the main character being embarrassed to be asking him for help from him.

Shot #5

The shot used for this portrait is a close-up shot. For the ending of the story, this angle displays the main characters problem finally getting resolved by the male character helping her tie her shoe. The close-up was best for the storytelling in this frame to capture the detail of the male character tying the main characters shoe and ending the story with the main problem resolved.

After completing this project and reflecting on the work I've done with my crew, I've learned how important camera angles can be to a story. Camera angles can support a grate deal of the story being told and I learned that today when solely five camera angles told a whole story without any dialogue or even any camera movement. I will remember the importance of how my camera is angles, how my camera is positioned and how I decide to use a camera angle to further develop the story being told for all my future projects.
